He asked me to marry him spontaneously, one day he just asked, and he was serious about it, and I said yes Later on, we decided when, but we never told anybody, so people won't be like "oh but that's too far away", then "oh it's so close" when it gets closer, and asking things, that can be so annoying  For those of you who are already engaged, did you have any sort of celebration for it? Here are some ideas for simple engagement parties that I really loved, hope I can do something similar    |

We rented out a big, private room, hired a DJ and had passed appetisers, champagne, my ex husbands brother made some amazing cocktails for the guests. I tried to keep my invitations simple but that soon went out of the window cos I'm kinda bold with stuff like that I found it difficult to not let it upstage the wedding lol. So I kept it as simple as I could. I think simple but beautiful is the key.The florist that I went to for my engagement party was simply stunning. I was crying over the beauty of the flowers alone.
