I was with my dad travelling to Leicester some years ago, and on the way we stopped at Morrisons (supermarket). In the car park was this mallard. We were told she often goes there and her husband is nearby.

She's a lovely bird, though. And your pictures are really amazing. You've obviously got an artistic eye, with how you've framed her in each picture. But, also, she's also clearly used to peopel, letting you get in that close...

Oh yes, and she wasn't camera-shy at all!

I always adjust the zoom lens so I get the most close-up photo as I can without getting too near to my subject.

I did think about you using a zoom.

But it didn't look too zoomed-in to me, if that makes any sense? I mean, I am so not an expert in photography, but I got the sense you were pretty close.

I appreciate that you don't get too close. It's obviously lost on this particular bird, but it doesn't really do to have wild animals get too used to humans. Causes them harm in the long run.
