I don’t have my own dog, but my co-worker brings her dog to work on Thursdays and the dog likes me and she’s so cute! Cause I was sick, I cleared my throat and she got scared by that poor girl!

I got my puppy.

But it's going to take time to get used to. And I feel bad because I don't exactly love her yet. Every site or article I see says it's normal and to just give it time. I'm hoping things will get easier once she gets used to the house and me and starts calming down.

I'm sure you'll grow to love her soon. Right now, you're just feeling the responsibility. Which I do believe is normal.

She's a pitbull. She's sweet and cute, but at night when I'm trying to sleep... she's whiny. Last night she woke me up just because her bed wasn't made up like she wanted it to be. Then she went right back to sleep. That was it that time. Just her bed. My goodness.

I'm taking it one day at a time. It would/will be much easier when I have a little bit of help with her.

The first days are the worst with a puppy. It's a bit traumatic for them, being separated from their littermates.

But I love pitbulls and pitbull puppies especially. They're such clumsy little doggies.

We used to have a pitbull when I was a kid so when I heard I could get one now, I jumped at it.

I understand that.

We've never had a dog because my dad was (and still is) allergic and my mother (even after they divorced, I mean) didn't want to take on the responsibility. I've always, always, always wanted one. But I don't have one also because I live alone and I'm not home often enough to take that on.

But, if the stars aligned? Heck, yeah, I'd jump at the chance.

The dog at my work on a Thursday’s is having a three week period cause she’s in heat and all the kids are amused cause the poor girl has to wear a cloth diaper and isn’t enjoying it!

I didn’t know dogs bleed for 3 weeks in heat and have to use feminine padding like human females do but hey, makes me glad human females don’t have 3 week long periods either!

Poor girl though, she doesn’t know why she has to wear that!
