Well, since I wrote one final today and it went pretty well, I am going to treat myself to a DQ ice cream cone.

Today was my "Farewell" luncheon at work and we went to a buffet. I must say I was mighty surprised withmyself. I portion controlled and didn't eat a lot of bad buffet foods they have; plus I loaded up on salad and fruit and I only had two dainties for dessert and I drank water.

I finally have self control back!

Hi all!

Nicky -- I've never tried rollerblading, but I agree... looks like a lot of fun!

No problem.... I've been doing a lot of reading on weight loss... just to educate myself more than anything. I would suggest not doing a LOT of calorie restriction, because the body is very adaptable... Think about the goal being fat loss, not weight loss, but you may be losing muscle which is a bad thing... A lot of calories are burning in the digestion process believe it or not; so as long as you're eating healthy then you may actually be able to eat more and burn more calories than if you were to eat less...

Does that make any sense... I'm not great at articulating it; I may have to go back through my books and look it up again and give the explanation another shot...

Glad to hear everyone is having a good week thus far though!
I'm good... My hubby is coming back today after an almost 2 week business trip so it'll be good to have him home

I was wondering how many calories you burn by doing spinning for about 50 minutes, does anyone know?

Also, how many do you burn in a regular weight lifting session?
