Absolutely.

My mom is suddenly sick, so not sure what will be going on here. Or when, over the next 2 days. I guess I'm still in the same "whatever" mood this season. Not really bothered by any of it, nor happy about any of it.

Thanks for the new thread, Kim.

I obviously can't tell what's happening with your mom, but for all your sakes, I hope it's just a seasonal bug.

You don't need the added worry.

She has diverticulitis. It acts up every couple of years. Christmas went really well though, way above my expectations. So, that helped my mood.

How did things go with you?

It went pretty well, all things considered. My nephew was kinda cranky the whole time and my dad and stepmother are very anxious that I start getting stessed about my move.

Glad to be back. But I do wish I wasn't go back to work tomorrow.

I'm glad you had a better time than you anticipated.

I bet he was adorable any way.

I hope once you get settled in your new place, they'll lighten up some on other things.

I feel the New Years blahs coming on.

He is adorable... but it's just not a good sign that his go-to reaction is a tantrum. Because, you know, presents run out. So he can ask for "more" all he wants, at some point, that was the end of it. And the ensuing tantrum is... unpleasant.

But he's still adorable.

I'm too stressed right now to feel te blahs. I mean, trust me, where I am is not a pleasant alternative to the blahs, so I wouldn't recommend it. But there's too much going on everywhere to have time to feel the blahs.

I understand that. It's when things slow down that the blahs tend to come on.

As you said, I don't recommend either, too, and I honestly think once things get settled, and you're settled it's going to be better.

I hope so.

Having an appointment on New Year's eve day now, it makes me focused, so I think maybe I won't get the blahs.

The thing about this time of year is that I usually have the grumps to begin with. Because the family always makes it a difficult experience. Without even the whole being forced to move thing.

I will get the blahs, though. Just... a little later. February, March... towards that time.

I hope realizing how much butt you're kicking and how many people do think about you even though they may not be around you helps you circumvent the blahs this year.

Are you going to be excited about settling into your new place? Will that help?

Thanks.

Ditto for you-you are kicking ass. You always do, but in this insanity, you're even more impressive.

I hope you're doing okay, Kim.

Hang in there Sunny, I'm sure things will feel better soon.

I don't know if I'll be excited about being in the new place, Kim. It obviously won't be a bad thing. But it will involve a lot of novelty, which usually takes some effort from me in terms of adapting.

The thing I'm looking for, probably in vain, is for the moment where things even out. Where changes stop long enough for me to catch my breath.

Again, I'm sure I'll be fine. I mostly am fine right now even.

There's just a lot going on, at least for me.

Sunny, I get that.

Yeah, it would help if things would just stand down for a while for you.

I think that's a lot going on for anyone.

I'm teetering on depression-so trying to keep busy getting things done.

Getting busy sounds like a good game plan.

But, whatever happens, be kind to yourself, okay? It's not your fault.

Wish you well, Kim

Lately I’ve been feeling ok, probably cause I’m in the middle of being off work. and my new med is still accustomizing to my body.
