I had to deal with things myself-and still, to this day, my mother shifts everything off on others to help me.

I hope her parents at least contact the school counselor, and let her know what's going on. Or, the girl asks for the help she needs herself.

A school counsellor can work miracles. Maybe give the hint to your daughter, Claire, that this young woman could find help there?

Though, honestly, at this point, it's up to her.

My daughter suggested Child Line to her, but she wouldn't phone the number. Still the suggestion is there if she needs someone to talk to.

I feel worse when I don't get to talk much to friends. I guess I got used to not being as quiet as I used to be as a teen... where I almost literally spoke to no one.

Claire, it's good she gave her the number. Really, that's all the kind of thing you can do, and then they have to make their own choice.

Leanne, I don't think many people are the way they were as teens. I can tell you're happier when you're social.

I always do better when I'm around people. As much as I prefer to be alone, I seem to be a social person. It helps me to get out of my head, and to be a part of other's lives.

I'm doing pretty good, Kim, on the whole. My dad came over today and we had a nice time, which is... nice. And then my brother, sister-in-law and nephew came over for supper, so you know...

I mean, he's hitting the terrible twos a couple of months early, but it was still nice to see them all.

I'm glad their visit was nice. at the terrible twos. That was the one age I was always hesitant to babysit. It's hard, cause they don't know they're behaving badly.

I'm pretty good. Having trouble keeping up with things, but, that happens. Mood wise I'm doing well.

Remarkably I'm doing well at the moment too. As the nights get longer I usually feel a lot worse, but so far I don't feel any different. The pills I take for restless leg syndrome may be affecting my mood in a positive way, which is a nice side effect.

I wasn't busy doing much specifically, Kim. I just got up early to reach my friend on the south shore of Montreal, then we were painting ceramic, then I was back rushing to reach my mother at the oyster supper.

So I spent most of the day away from home.

I was when I woke up in bed for some reason this morning, now I’m just feeling tired thanks to that.
