Title quote taken from something that has stayed with me for 20 years and has provided me with support during that time:

"Ever loved someone so much, you'd do anything for them? Yeah, well make that someone yourself and do whatever the hell you want."
Saw this motivational quote yesterday and thought it belonged here. |

That's great advice.

Love the thread title. One of my all time favorites.
Chris, that is a brilliant quote. I never quite thought of myself that way, or treated myself that way. |

Never too late to try and treat yourself that way, Kim.

I just never thought of it in the context of loving myself as much as I would someone else.
Yeah, that is true. It's not too late. |

Ugh, felt like all day basically.
Despite feeling good that it's the weekend, got library books to read, good food and can sleep in, I can't shake off the background feeling and during my commute home anyway, __________________

Crying usually helps me feel better. Does it help you feel better, or worse?
That background feeling is definitely hard to shake. I hope your books help get your mind off of things for a while. |

I hope you found a little light in there, Leanne.

Sunny, I'm trying to, I have gathered lots of things to occupy myself with books, two movies and I'm talking on plus my cat is being adorbs
Kimmie, I'm not sure if crying helps me feel better. My eyes sometimes sting from tears and I tend to get a headache after. Plus I never make sounds or sob or stuff that I assume releases tension and is what makes someone feel better. I'm not really a crier in general, so I don't know how to do that... except at funerals and when pets die. So I can't say it helps, but I still quietly anyway cause it can't be helped when my chest aches so bad. Instead of crying, my body releases "cold chills" that spread through my chest and arms, it's unpleasant to, but seems like a release my body forces. __________________

There is no bad way to cry, I don't think. I bawl when I cry, because I don't do it often. Every once in a while I'll cry just a little, quietly.
I'm sorry I don't know a way to help you. At least the horrible cold chills help you release some. I hope the things you've gathered help comfort and keep you busy. |

Well, the thing is I get really ugly when I cry so if I'm in front of someone and I feel like I might cry, they end up noticing that my nose is already red and my eyes too so then if they ask if I'm ok, I already know they can plainly see I'm not, and then I will actually lose it and cry with sound and out of control sobbing but that's completely embarrassing and rare, thankfully. I figure if my face colour is betraying me, there is no use denying it to the person
