I started school on the 1st, last Thursday, and found out that we just got a new Starbucks and Quiznos in the student center at the campus

I was actually surprised my campus got one.
 Before, we just had the regular college cafe, but a Starbucks...wow  __________________

I would love it if my college had a Starbucks on campus. But that isn't likely. The nearest Starbucks to here is about an hour away. There isn't anything good around here.

Classes start the 12th for me.

Hey!
 I'm a doctoral candidate in biology at a local university. Classes just started two Wednesdays ago for me, and I must say, there's a ton of projects and papers to complete. For example, I have a 20-minute presentation due next Wednesday. I already have the research and notes finished, though. I just need to rehearse. __________________

It's good that you have your presentation finished already. Rehearsing is a good thing. How many people do you have to present it to?

I just got my books today - mostly online because it's cheaper, but I'm planning to drop a writing class so I bought them from the school store so I can return them easier. Ahhh, I'm so hungry..and the dining hall doesn't open for another hour.  __________________

I bought majority of my books at the campus bookstore, but I also bought two books online. They just arrived a few days ago. Spent $300 totally, which isn't that horrible in my eyes. __________________

I start college next Wednesday I really hope everything will go fine, better then my last college experience  For the first day we get a suprise we have to bring gloves and a warm sweater  so I think they'll go ice-skating |
