My severely Autistic son who is nonverbal but very vocal loves to assist me with loading the dishwasher, put the dishwasher soap pod in and start it. I need to push the door in while he locks it. Good thing he needs help with this or he would try to independently start it several times a day with only a few items in it and add a new soap pod each time!!!
 He might be 27 but is mentally and emotionally between the ages 6 and 13 in many ways. He is a Joy...he loves music. He makes eye contact and is very affectionate with me, his mom....wanting hugs from me and kisses on each cheek. He enjoys shaking hands with people, making eye contact and smiling.  __________________
