Oh are those good on hard floors? We only have hard floor in our bathroom at the moment so haven't bought one, but our new house has all hard flooring. Would you recommend?

yup, works on all floor surfaces.

We missed our recycle day last week so our bin is gonna be really full this week

No bins for me. Just different coloured bags to signify different destinations. Well, blue or transparent for recycling and black or green for garbage.
