So I came to an interesting realization today. A friend and I were talking and she was talking about boys (a subject I get highly annoyed with btw because I figure there's more to life than that stuff) and as we were talking I finally realized that I'm always talking about how nature fills my soul and how I can't describe the feeling because it's way too powerful for me but what I've come to realize is taht that power is God. Somehow I know that now which is probably why the need of a companion seems so insignificant.
I may not go to church and I may not read the Bible as often as I should but the fact that I finally understand that it's God's presence every time I'm in his world and I can feel it more strongly than ever is special enough, at least I think so. __________________

Hello! What is new with everyone? Nothing much with me. Just repeating "Intro to God for new comers again!", what my true identity in Christ is, how deep is God's love really for me? Accepting God's unconditional Love, that He does accept me. Don't need to do "good works" to get or Feel totally loved, accepted, by God & 100% approved by Him. I need to accept God's gift of erternal life, that what Jesus did on the cross, his death, & ressurection is all that was needed to be secure in my future. That when I repented, and asked Jesus to come into my life to be my Lord and Savior, that completed what was needed on my part. Traumatic events "sins" against me from the past, as a child, I no longer feel the need to feel guilty about these experiences from the past that happened to me. Nor have the need to blame myself, others, circumstances, or blame God as why it was "allowed" or why it happened.
"You will know the truth and the truth shall set you free" has never been more true as my family needed to come to me and out of love & show areas of my life I was in denial in that were affecting the family. They were causing me to neglect my responsibilities in the home and I demonstrated antisocial behavior. Moving on and living in the present is often hard for me. I know this verse has been shared by me in a fairly recent post but, recently became a mission of mine until I get rid of items I have clung onto for 25 or more years. Isaiah 45:18 "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!" By throwing away or giving away the items from my past that I have been clinging to, that had deep emotional ties, I have been set free, of more excess baggage I didn't know I still had. All of you regular posters here who have been praying together with me on various issues over the past year, thanks for all your prayers for me. I know it has been God's power through His answers are what has seen me and each one of us and d through. All Glory, Honor, & Praise belong to Him! Until next time, Psalm 63:7-8 "I sing in the shadow of Your wings. My soul clings to You; Your right hand upholds me." Karen __________________

Hi Richyl! I am doing well.(As you read in my long post, my spiritual "make over" and "remodeling" God's truth set me free from more of the past I didn't realize I was dragging around. And from time to time, was a "visual" reminder of negative events & experiences with devestating trauma and emotional scars. Behaviors and coping methods were all imature during selish/selfcentered periods)
Good to hear what you and your SS class are doing for the less fortunate. A ministry that Jesus did while alive and training His disciples. (In the past to feel important or that I have also done stuff with and for the less fortunate, I would mention: that reminds me...and list one or more ways "I" had done the same. Sometimes it is good to share. Not for a pat on the back or praise & recognition). So grateful God is so patient.(and knows AT TIMES I am a stubborn, thick headed, slow learner, "because I have to do it my way", a rebellian "know it all" child who barks orders out at God. My demands, using a prayer and having the right and polite words asking God, so superfically looking and sounding I am more spiritual and intune with God than I really am). Hope you have an enjoyable week. Look forward to reading what and how you and your SS group are helping the less fortunate. Either here on the thread or a PM. Karen __________________

Hi Everyone. How are you doing?
Has anyone read the book by Rick Warren? The Purpose Driven Life? It's actually a pretty good book! My husband and I are reading it together. We also pray and read the bible together. This has to be my favorite videos: We should keep this thread going by starting a bible study group. A few verses a day? |

Glad to see that you like the idea, Richyl.
This is one of my favorites: Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6 |
