I know same here! I'm not really good when it comes to reading my Bible. But reading LB makes me want to pick it up and start learning more on the rapture and all of that stuff.

Since reading it, I've had a few dreams here and there or I'll just create my own senario of how things would be if it were to happen. I've actually invisioned myself being one of those left behind. I'm not a devoted Christian/Catholic enough to be taken by God. If I was, I would go to church every Sunday and practice what I preach but I don't. Listening to Christian music is great but it's not enough.

LOL those LB books seriously get the mind rolling. But that's what also makes it difficult to put down. I want all of the books so I don't have to pace back and forth on when I'll get the next one.

I have a hard time with the "good Christians go to church" thing. That's probably a debate for another time though, lol.

In the mean-time: Check this out. The Real 12 Days of Christmas.

it's absolutely lovely and I definitely think it should be in the opening post.

In my world you go to church because you find confort in doing so, not because it makes you a good Christian, because I'm pretty sure you can go to chruch every Sunday and still be as big of a siner as the rest of us. I go almost every Sunday, but that's because it gives me great confort to do so, not because I think it makes me a better person.

And you're all right, we Christians truely are blessed for being able to celebrate the birth of Christ the way we do. Sometimes when I hear Christmas hymns I just feel so blessed and humbled and it's a great feeling.

I have one thing I'd like to have your input on though. I'm working as a nurse which means dealing with life and death pretty much n a daily bases and most of the time I'm Ok with it but the other night a dying man asked me if I thought he would end up in hell because he hadn't been all that nice in his life. What on earth was I'm supposed to say to that, huh? I'm not a priest. But i had to tell him something so I told him that hell is for the really bad ones and they usually don't understand they belong there so I was convinced he would find peace with God. But i still don't know if that was the right answer and he died later that night and I'm praying God was the one that came for him...

So waht do you think? Did I screw this up badly? or would God aprove?

I've had really bad experiences in churches and met some really bad people in there, I stopped going.

I don't think you screwed up badly. I thought that was a good answer, you don't want to tell someone "Yes you're going to Hell." We don't know that, only God is the judge and we can never say that to someone. So you did the right thing I think

New thread

And I'm so frustrated right now. I'm moving offices, right? I wasn't supposed to be moved until the 22, but then Tuesday afternoon I got a phone call saying they were moving me Friday. So I came in to work yesterday and packed all day. Didn't even have time to get on because of it. Then today, I get another call. "We won't move you till Jan 5th!" I have packed EVERYTHING!

Guess it's a good thing I don't have to come back for a while

Hello new-comers! I'm Tina.

Kali: That's stunning. That is really OP worthy!

I haven't been here or at in a few weeks. Some of you may not know but my mother died on Dec 10th. She felt down the attic stairs and broke her neck. I witnessed her fall and called for help. In all reality, she died on the steps (Sunday, Dec 7th - God's #)

My father died 6 years ago due to a doctor's mistake. We, unforunately, lost the case, and mom wasn't able to find out in time. I lost them both before I even turned 21 (turning 21 on Jan 1st).

Most of my family are not religious. If anything, they are athesists. So, it makes me wonder if I'll ever see them again.

Tina. I'm so sorry. I had no idea that that had happened. I don't know what to say that you haven't probably already heard a million times theses past few weeks.

I love it Kali.

Tina - I'm so sorry for your losses. I can't even imagine. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers. And like the others have said, we're here if you need us.

I'm really sorry to hear that. And don't give up on seeing your loved ones again. We never know what happens between God and another person the moment they die. You will be in my thought and prayers.

Tina- First off, welcome. Second, I'm sorry to hear about your family. I can't imagine what it's like to loose parents so young. It must be tough having your extended family as atheists. I can only pray but prayer is always enough. But know that you are loved.

Death is a scary thing. I'm Catholic so I do believe in heaven but death still terrifies me big time.

Tina - I hope you don't mind but I've said a prayer for you in the Prayer Thread on the OT board and added you to my church prayer list.

I wish there was something else I could do.

Tina, I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. I'll keep you in my prayers.

I haven't been here in awhile, but I wanted to come by here to ask if all of you could please pray for my grandfather. He came down with pnuemonia a couple of days ago, and he's had multiple types of cancer over the past few years. They just found cancer on his lungs, and no one believes he's going to make it. He's never been a Christian, and I'm really concerned about him. I truly believe that he's a good person, but without believing in God, I don't know how much good that will do him.

that's all.

I hope that you have been dealing with your grief well. That's why I like religion because it honestly gives me comfort...especially when there's a loss. I know God will take care of them.
