You too! Did anyone give anything up for Lent? I gave up everything like Pork, Chicken, Turkey.. I'm strictly Pescetarian/Vegetarian/Vegan. One step closer!

Lent is the preparing time for Easter.

I always like lent. It's like it makes it easier for me to connect with God.

I saw a Catholic mass for the first time yesterday, there was a televised funeral for a Sheriffs Deputy who was killed in the line of duty last Saturday. There was a lot of standing and kneeling very close together. I'd be exhausted after. Beautiful service though.

Anyone have Easter plans? I'm going to Sunrise Service by the water.

1 Peter 2:9
But you are not like that, for you have been chosen by God himself----you are priests of the King, you are holy and pure, you are God's very own----all this so that you may show to others how God called you out of the darkness into a wonderful light.
Happy Palm Sunday everyone

Hey, I'm not Christian, but wanted to reply anyway
I think Bach's Mattheus Passion is BEAUTIFUL (my mom used to sing in a classical choir, and they performed the Mattheüs Passion every year, I got to see it once, but it was very very long for a 10-year old!), and apparently my whole country agrees with me, because each year there are around 200 Mattheüs Passion performances throughout our little country during the Easter weekend!

But The Passion? No no no I've seen parts of the Dutch version (of which the American version is now derived), and it's really... well... not my thing. So commercialized. They do it every year here, each year in another city.

I do love Easter though, but mainly for the spring-y atmosphere

Hope you all enjoy Easter in your own way

I'll have to check that out , i don't think i've ever heard it.

Yeah commercialism seems to creep into everything.

I watched a The Passion Live last night and while I get what they were trying to achieve and the singers did a great job, it was weird. I'm not sure why though. The songs they chose fit well but it was just maybe I was expecting more? I don't know. Really curious to know what others thought.
