'Ello. Didn't know this was here. I'm Kara, I'm a strong Baptist, and I believe in the Bible as the final, perfect, only word of God.

It's quite surprising. But I guess maybe they don't know about this thread.

So, what denomination do you belong to?

My family's religious background was Baptist for a long long time. A year ago, my parents left the Baptist church and are now Methodists. I kinda think Methodists are a little less stricter than Baptists are. Methodists are more into rituals than Baptists are from what I've seen.

Do you guys think doubts are normal when you're a Christian?

to you all

Jacob1983 Methodists and Baptists to have some similarities as far as faith, I think. After all, they are both Christians. I just think some of the minor details or ideas of the doctrine are different. For instance, I don't think Methodists beleive it's necessary to be totally submerged when being Baptized, whereas Baptists do, etc. However, I'm not 100% sure of the differences.

And yes, I do think all Christians have doubts at some point, have questions, aren't sure about certian things. I know I have in the past, and most every Christian I know has. After all, we are human

Is there a particular question you have or doubt that maybe we can help you discern?

bones_em_temp Yeah, I used to doubt more in my teens when I was uncertain. However, even later I've had doubts about various things. I find it best just to turn those doubts over to God.

I think doubts come from Satan, and if we bring those doubts to God, be totally honest with us, he won't condemn us.... he'll help us work through them.

I just get frustrated sometimes when people belittle me because I'm a Christian. I also get a little mad when people say things like "you know there is no proof that God and Jesus exist".
