I just realized that I usually hate things that have contrasting textures. Brownies are obviously the exception to that "rule."

French is a complicated language, right? It's got a bagillion grammar rules and just as many exceptions to said rules. So there's an actual expression in French that goes "it's the exception that confirms the rule."

So it fits. Brownies are the exception that confirm my rule of not liking to mix different textures.

This is a dessert I think would be much better with dark chocolate "lava", but it still looks good.
