Vancouver sounds like a great place for "celebrity" watching, if you're into that sort of thing, since so many shows and movies are filmed there.

^ you're telling me. I haven't seen too many star sightings but in my work commute I periodically drive by on location film shoots. Also, on my way to work, if I turn left, I can literally drive by the "Bates Motel" set, the farmhouse that Mulder and Scully live in the last X-Files movie and miniseries is less than a 5 minute drive from my workplace too, and this summer, the show "Zoo" possibly filmed literally in the room I work. (Location scout took pics of me and my work room for reference )

For me, it's the mixture of city and nature rolled into one, perfect mixture and lovely people and 'Once Upon A Time' being filmed there is a bonus

We do get some shoots in Montreal, but I almost never know the where/when. What winds up happening is, when they use actual locations and not just Studio City, I'll recognize the areas when I'm watching the movie.

Union representing Canada Post issues 72-hour strike notice

I know we don't use the regular post as much we once did. But I do have things shipped and delivered a whole lot. I mostly shop online. So, you know, I stand by any union that strikes for conditions and such, but I hope this doesn't last too long.

I work in a law office, so while a lot of what we do is now e-mail and e-billing, there is still a lot left to mail as well. And, yeah, my shopping is essentially done online... Bleh.

I hope for a fair resolution, but also for a quick one.
