The Jorvick centre is well worth a look https://www.jorvikvikingcentre.co.uk/, although the queues can be long. York Minister is well worth a look, and York Castle which is up a steep hill. There are few good museums, including the chocolate museum, but only go to that one if you're really interested in chocolate making. Definitely you should walk on the city wall, on which you can walk for most of its length and has the advantage of being free. Other than that, there are lots of small streets and alleyways in the centre with old buildings to see.

I went shopping today wearing a short-sleeved top, so it was pretty warm, yes!

Good idea, Theresa! I went to lots of places where I was there, but there were some I didn't get to. There's a lot to see and do.
