Haha, my mum had one of her famous losses of temper with dad earlier, the kind like I mentioned the other day. She didn't get to the stage of throwing stuff, but lets just say it was getting hairy, I backed out of the room as fast as possible till I was sure the coast was clear.

She's been working hard all week doing overtime and was shattered, he pushed her buttons once too often.

The irony was it started with her having a go at me over something trivial, then when dad stuck up for me she turned on him and moaned that he always took my side and never backed her up, and I was then forgotten about despite being the cause of it all.

I just wanted to blend in to the wall and disappear.

Later when she'd calmed down mum asked why I'd had to argue back with her instead of just being quiet when I knew she was cranky, and my answer was "Because I'm just like you, I don't know when to shut my mouth."

She couldn't argue with that, she knows it's true, I am every bit my mother's daughter.
