Need to post here more.

I've gotten into this habit of reading multiple books at a time because I can't seem to stick with just one

I've got several Native American books going because I'm highlighting information that I like from them.

I have 4 books currently reading listed on my Goodreads account and I have 3-4 more library books waiting on my bookshelf before the end of October

It's really easy to read many books at a time when you start doing it. I know people who don't do it think it must be so difficult, but when you do it, you realize how it's not that difficult.

Anyway, the theme was a nice change, yes. It was just a bit odd.

I could never read many books at the same time. It is not for me and I just want to focus on one story at the time.

I used to do one book at a time but I don't have the patience for it. My mind always has to be engaged so one book just doesn't cut it for me the way it used to.

It's one of those things that is either for you or not. And it can change, over time, too. But the point is that there's no point in assuming that because I can and enjoy reading many books at a time that (a) the same applies to everyone or (b) that it should apply to everyone.

So long as people enjoy reading, that's all that matters.

Reading a book called Wicked Like A Wildfire. And the writing is a bit weird in my opinion that makes it hard to read. But the story is interesting.

Do you read in English or do you read translation into Swedish?

I ask because I just bought my mother's birthday present, which is a book, and it "had" to be the version translated into French, because she doesn't totally understand English in written form. Anyway, it made me wonder.

Because I'm at the point where I'd rather read books written in English in the original English (I read the Millenium books in French since, if we're gonna need a translation, might as well go for one in my mother tongue.) and I do notice a difference since I've started doing that.

OK, so translation wasn't the problem with Wicked Like A Wildfire then. Because I've had that problem.

That is why I don't read books translated into Swedish! It will makes me super annoyed! But with Wicked Like A Wildfire, I think the writer wrote in a way that I never seen in a book before. That is why I find it weird.

I know! That's why I don't read French translations.

I've just begun reading Trevor Noah's autobiography and I really like the way he writes.

I'm glad you liked it.

I have now given up on Wicked Like A Wildfire. It was to boring and so slow for me. So I won't be finish it now.

That's fair enough, I think. No point in sticking with a book that doesn't hold your interest.

I like Trevor Noah's autobio an awful lot. It's a really interesting way to look at apartheid, you know? Because he was a child and now he's a comedian. So there's a good sense of all the horrors of it, but with a sense of humour at the same time, so it's not too heavy to read either.

That is great to hear that you enjoy it. I have never read a autobiography!

Started with a book called: "Get It Together, Delilah!" and I can already tell that I will enjoy this book more! And I have only read the little preview before the chapters starts!
