You're welcome.

Still reading Passenger. Not my favorite book but I'm glad it goes easier for me to read it this time. Last time I tried reading it I only read the three first chapters. Now I'm half ways in it.

It's pretty interesting that you'd try it again if you didn't enjoy it the first time around.

Is that the book that the new film with Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence is based on?

Thanks for starting the new one!

^I don't think so. Not seen the movie or heard so much about it, but the book I'm talking about is about time traveling.

And you're welcome.

The thing is that I had a huge break from reading books (8 years) and I started back on reading them in January last year. And Passenger was on of the first books I picked up and I just felt overwhelmed with how long the chapters were. That was why I stopped reading it. (I'm still annoyed with all the long chapters though )

Well, that makes sense. The only book I ever read a second time when it had really annoyed me the first time around (not enough to stop reading it, mind) was Mansfield Park, and there was a solid 20-year gap between the first and second time.

So I get it. You think "maybe so much time has passed that my impression will be different." At least, that's what it was for me.

Of course, in my case, there apparently isn't enough time in my whole life to make me like Mansfield Park.

That is a long time.

I have so many books now that should go on my shelf, but I feel it is no use to put them there because I'm moving soon. So they are all spread out in my room right now.

Books are heavy to transport, but easy in that they will fit neatly inside boxes. At least, that's what I tell my family every time I move and they're stuck lugging around my collection.

I just finished Mr Darcy's Diary by... someone. Blergh. Freaking terrible. The characters were out of character and while the plot essentially stuck to the original story, the parts that "added" to the narrative were insulting to anyone who has affection for the characters.

Yeah, I bet they are. I'm little scared when it is time to get them to the apartment. But the good thing that it just take 4-5 minutes to get to my apartment with a car.

I have 10 pages left of Passenger. Then I will start reading a book called Shadow and Bone.

I copied this from Goodreads.

Quote:
Surrounded by enemies, the once-great nation of Ravka has been torn in two by the Shadow Fold, a swath of near impenetrable darkness crawling with monsters who feast on human flesh. Now its fate may rest on the shoulders of one lonely refugee.

Alina Starkov has never been good at anything. But when her regiment is attacked on the Fold and her best friend is brutally injured, Alina reveals a dormant power that saves his life—a power that could be the key to setting her war-ravaged country free. Wrenched from everything she knows, Alina is whisked away to the royal court to be trained as a member of the Grisha, the magical elite led by the mysterious Darkling.

Yet nothing in this lavish world is what it seems. With darkness looming and an entire kingdom depending on her untamed power, Alina will have to confront the secrets of the Grisha . . . and the secrets of her heart.

Shadow and Bone is the first installment in Leigh Bardugo's Grisha Trilogy.
