Are there any threads for support for abuse victims? I can see a thread which appears to be more for discussing domestic violence in the OP but what about other types of abuse and those who have been in other abusive situations who would like some support?

I think we currently only have the domestic volience one if you want to start a different one that's fine. :) it doesn't need to be a general one, it can be a specific area if you want.

Okay, thank you for the response. Do you feel that it is a subject which would benefit from having a thread here and be responded to? I probably would not make it a specific type as I feel being more general opens it up to more people.

Like with any thread its kind of a 50/50 deal, you never know if it's a instant hit or slow and steady build up. Never know till it's tried. :) I honestly think it would posted in, I know some posters in the past, myself included, have made references to some things they or family been/going through.
