It's been about a million years since I started one of these threads!

The title comes from a discussion in the last thread, where I said I was too much of a chicken to watch the "Saw" movies, and several other people agreed with me, so I exclaimed, "Chickens unite!" and Peachy said it should totally be our next thread title.....so it is.

Thanks for the new thread Phee, love the title.

I still have not watched the SAW movies

Grey's is a re-run, new eps on ch7 some time next year, BTW it's an okay season but some don't like it.

Don't believe all the 'season final' stuff some are like Criminal Minds which ended on it's season final from last year, so they are only about 10 eps behind now. But others like House, Heroes, Bionic Woman and Prison Break are not. House has one ep this week in the US, to air here sometime next year. Heroes is the same, both BW and PB will be caught up with the US when they go on break but it's NOT the season final it's their mid season break!

30 Rock is slow to start but worth a laugh.

I have a few shows I'm still catching up on that locally they have not said when they will air. I'm betting the local networks are waiting to see how the strike will affect them.

This site has a full list of what shows have what eps left to air in the US!
the futon critic - the web's best primetime television resource

If the strike is not ended soon they are going to be in trouble as it can take months to get a show from pre-production (writing) through to the TV screen.

Kevin Rudd's to do list:
1) Say "sorry".
2) Sign Kyoto.
3) Get broadband set up at Craig's place.
Sounds good!

We got a letter from Telstra today saying ISDN will be ending in about 13 months, so they have that much time to get ADSL working for all who want it!

BTW - our phone was out for about 15 mins today, but next door said theirs was out for 4 hours!

Thanks for the re-cycling link, I have an idea what's on the tapes, mostly shows and movies recorded of the TV. Most of which I'd never watch again but I might just go through them first before trashing them!

ETA: Just read the last thread ...

I haven't been able to get onto FF for the last few days. The pages just would not load. Seriously, I'd hit refresh, then go look at other sites and forget I even had a FF borwser open, and then I'd go back to it an hour or so later, and it'd still be loading!
That's strange. I used to have problems at 3pm Perth time with FF but it seems ok now. What time of day is that you're having problems?

Kelly thanks for the work rant thread ... I forgot about. I'll check it out

Can you just dump them in the bin? Or the link that Phee linked to looked good.

Snake boy
Sambath Uon and his best pal Lucky
Enlarge PictureEnlarge

The struggle to find that perfect pet for their child can send some mothers and fathers loopy.

Luckily for the parents of six-year- old Sambath Uon, his best friend slithered right into his lap.

The boy refuses to go to bed without the 6m (20ft) Burmese python named Lucky.

'I love the python like my sister,' said Sambath. 'All my friends are jealous of her.'

When Lucky first slunk into the Cambodian village, she was 50cm (20in) long and Sambath was just three months old.

His parents tried to return it to the forest three times but she kept coming back.

Sambath's mother, Kim Kanara, said: 'We would find it asleep next to Sambath. They have slept together every night for the past six years.

'She is a member of the family now. We shelter, feed, bathe and even pray to her.' Lucky, or Chomreun in Khmer, is thought to have healing powers.

Mrs Kanara added: 'Some recovered from sickness after being blessed by her.'

I'm going to go through them then tape up the boxes and just put them in the shed!

But that dump idea is sounding better by the minute.

I hate snakes!
