I had lived for ten years in the same apartment. And, obviously, we had yearly rent hikes, but once you live there, they can't raise it as much as when you come in the first time.

So it was an adjustment, moving to a new place after all that time.

I'm afraid my roommate is going to come screaming at me some time when there aren't witnesses around. I think her brain has truly turned to mush-she will stand there and lie in employee's faces, when they witnessed what really happened. Anyway, I don't want to be set up to be in trouble.

I think you need to focus on finding exit strategies if your crazy roommate ever goes at you when you're alone. You have enough witnesses that you wouldn't need to convince anyone of what's happening. You just need to take care of your mental and emotional safety around her, you know?

It must be very hard to deal with Kim. But remember if she's known for lying it can only benefit you. You can't change her behaviour, you can only influence the way you react to it. Call someone in each and everytime it happens, without responding to it. Make sure she hasn't got any reason to accuse you of anything, and you will be believed and she will not. I hope she can be moved soon.

Anxiety is the number one reason for me to not get enough sleep.
