Anxiety Support #4 ~ It's different for each of us, yet still the same

If you want to change the title, have at it, please. My brain is pretty fried at the moment.

I had a bad go of things yesterday, took freaking forever to get myself back to calm place. I think everything just kind of finally imploded. Sometimes you think you're dealing with it okay and then BAM

I'm doing much better its just gets so frustrating.

I seem to have 4 types of anxiety modes.

1 - I can go about my day okay but I feel shaky on the inside, like my muscles are quaking and my mind will run away with thoughts that aren't that great.

2 - I get apprehensive and clench my muscles and don't realize it until I relax a bit and feel how sore i am.

3- I get incredibly fidgety and more cranky

4 -- I get full blown attacks, chest pain, heavy chest, motion sickness, light sensitivity and so on...


None are ideal but I really wish my body would settle on one. Just one.

^^ I know the feeling Kali, it's frustrating. I hate when I get so anxious I clench my muscles because no matter what I do, I can't relax and then I'm so sore.

I hate it when co-workers visit their anxiety on me. We're all overworked, me no less than everybody else. We're all stressed. You don't need to make me feel more stressed than I already am.

It's hard-anxiety is contagious. Are they complaining, making demands, or do you pick up anxious energy?

It has to be really hard on you, when you're just trying to get your work done. Are you able to physically feel like you can put a barrier up in your mind, with your thoughts? I get that it may all be too overwhelming, and coming from different directions though.

I'm anxious it will get more windy here, and one of the trees will fall, because the ground is already soft from the rain, and it's supposed to rain through the weekend.

I have a big fear of trees coming down on our house. When I have fears like that, I just can't stop thinking about it.

I know that feeling. We've had storms here the past couple of nights and the rain was so bad at one point I was convinced it was going to flood. It didn't, but every time the rain starts that fear is back.

The thoughts that refuse to go away are the worst. It is easier said than done to just let yourself think about it so that it will go away.

Kim, I don't really have a good answer to your question. We mostly communicate via e-mail at work. It's just that, because we're all overworked, people have a tendency to pass the buck to someone else. But, once it gets to me, I have no one to pass it to, so...

I spend a lot of time trying to convince people that it's not my job to do their job.
