so i was watching Friends last night and this guy kept calling Chandler Toby at his job and it made me think of this thread and my job.

i remember it took me like two years to learn this guy's name at work... i kept calling him "The Nice Gentleman". my boss had asked me well who came to get the keys for this car and i was like, "You know, the nice gentleman who works down there." He shook his head and was like "You're really gonna have to start learning people's names." now they make me go around and have people sign their pay stubs... it's lucky for me most of them wear name badges.

That's EXACTLY why I made my username my actual name... it makes it so much easier! I used to be "10 My Love" and I got sick of people calling me "10" even when my name was in my signature and bold lol.

Same here, and last names. Forget it. Especially if they are really long last names. I cant remember or pronouce them for the life of me.

This happens a lot in college for me.

Unless if the class is really small, chances are I have no idea who these people in my class are.

wise, I used to have a longer screen name and it seemed a bit of a hassle for people to type it so I just changed it to a name. Even in the boards I frequent, I have no idea who is who other than their screen name.
