I think Jason is really real, you know? Troy is almost too good to be true, Zeke is almost like... it's like, seriously, how many baskeballers are THAT into baking, seriously. Jason's character is just your average person that would actually go to an American high school, which makes him appealing.

Yeah, like when you see him jump at Zeke after Darbus proclaims "You did it! You've finally graduated!" it's so relatable and real and fun to watch.

But they did a terrible job in developing him more. I mean I know not to expect them to work on the secondary characters too much, but they could have still given him more lines.

I totally agree. He's not too perfect, he's not overly obsessed with basketball to the point where he never puts the ball down... he's just... normal. The kind of person that makes mistakes, acts stupid but has fun in the process.
