I don't see Selma winning Best Picture, unfortunately, but I think it has a good chance for Best Original Song. I do still think it's unfair it got so few nominations.
Back in January, I intended to watch all the BP nominations, but yeah... Didn't happen. I'm definitely rooting for Eddie Redmayne, though. And my bb Andy Samberg is performing, so at least I'll have that. Also, Elif, I thought you would be excited with Emma being nominated! |

I wanted to do it as well (although I wasn't really interested in American Sniper), but only watched Theory of Everything, Grand Budapest Hotel and Whiplash in the end.

Selma did win best original song But it would have been nice to win acting or directing awards Very proud American Sniper won nothing, but disappointed Whiplash did.

Why do you hate Whiplash so much if I may ask? I mean, yes, the abuse part was icky, but it was a very well made movie and J.K. Simmons was terrific in his role.
But yeah, I'm still kind of surprised (but then again, not really) that David Oyelowo and Ava DuVernay weren't nominated. |

I loved Whiplash. It was really good. Great music. The Grand Budapest Hotel was magical I haven't seen Selma. But well deserved song. |
