Not really my thing... my town where I grew up used to have one and it was this MASSIVE deal, like all the local schools would create art and compete and perform and all sorts of stuff.

I don't have annual fairs where I live, and if I did, I don't think I would like it. A town near mine has a fair, and I go see the fireworks from it, but the fair's really loud and that noise is something I wouldn't want to put up with for two days near my house.

We used to have people parking near my house because there was some short cut or something near by to get to the fair and you'd have to pay for parking if you used their parking area. So like, we could barely drive down the street while it was on. Pain in the backside I tell you. Although I did used to like the pony rides

For some reason I was always scared to ride a pony when I was little.

But what doesn't make sense is that I rode a camel at the zoo one time. They used to have animals like that that you could ride, and I went on the camel.

We used to have camel rides! They were a bit scary when the camel stood up, it'd be all jolty and I'd feel like I was gonna fall off

I forget what it felt like for me because I was little, but anyway, my dad went on with me because I was too young to do it by myself.

Ours is a relatively small town, though people do come from various places to visit. There's a rodeo which always draws quite a reasonable crowd, and concerts of sorts as well.

I don't mind the fair itself, seeing the town liven up, but I'm not a fan of going to the grounds and every corner you turn you see someone you know, or someone you know of.
