Look at the separation between them and the sadness that Leah has. Sam and Emily hurt her both even though it wasn't Sam's fault.

I get that the situation was dire- Jake being so injured and everything but it goes much deeper for Leah because she had to be in a pack with her ex and his fiance.

Yeah, that is not an easy situation to be in for her... Since she in a way couldnt get away from it...

She was lucky that Jake ultimately left since it gave her an escape that she needed to break away from him since she couldn't do so before.

I did too. Once you understood her backstory it was easy as to why she hated being the only girl in the pack and why she hated being a wolf in general.

I mean can you imagine having to take orders from your ex?!

That's one of the things I loved about both Rosalie and Leah- though they didn't share scenes in the book, their dynamics were the same. They were of the same stalk in the sense that they'd both been given a life they never asked for and as a result longed for lives they could not have.

That's kind of why I wish they had developed a friendship. I know they really didn't but the potential was there, at least for a while anyways.

And the part that bugged me about the movie was that we saw very little of Jake's pack at the Cullen's both before Renesmee was born and after. In the books they were constantly there.
