Alec - Alec can desensitize people, make them blind, deaf, and numb to any feeling if he wishes to.
The Volturi use him to desensitize people as they attack in a war and if they are being merciful to a victim before they kill them.

When he uses his power, it appears like a hazy mist and he can cut off multiple people’s senses at once while Jane can only inflict her power on one person at a time.

Demetri - he's a tracker and can find people using their mind

I will be honest in saying he was not at all what I expected Aro to be but he is such a phenomenal actor that his ability really changed my idea of Aro and made the portrayal wholly convincing.

Agreed I love the subtle danger about him, and yet he put up a front with the humour and attempting to be nice to EB.

He took what little he had to work with and gave Demetri a bit of a personality. Which is important, I think, especially since we get to know so very little about the character.

I think the Volturi were depicted well in the movie. I think what was most important was that the casting was pretty much spot-on. Since it was mainly a fight scene, I was impressed with what was there.

He definitely is and that accent He was a sweetheart in person but you could tell that he wanted to sneak off so badly and avoid the hoards of screaming fans

IA Michael's portrayal of Aro wasn't what I was expecting, but I can see how Michael interpreted Aro the way he did, so he made it work.
