Thuoght we'd could have a general book discussion

So what is the actual deal with bella that she is immune to edwards mind reading? Do we know?

Strong willed?

I'm not sure.. but its kinda like Vicki from Blood ties. Immune to the Vampire power.

Was it ever explained? I've only read Twilight so i'm not sure what happens in the other books.

I don't think it was explained...I thought a vultouri would come by and somehow reveal it to us but nope

She is immune to Henry's(The Vampire)power of Persuasion.
I guess she is just strong willed, and resists it.

No, its a TV series. Canadian. But was on Lifetime. Also there is 5 or 6 books on the series.
I think that is how they explained it, they never did go into it much detail.

I do have Eclipse, but i can't read it til i buy and read New Moon, which i hope the bookstore will have it in tomorrow. (They were all sold out.)

Speaking of book abuse... some of you have heard this..

I was right in the middle of Twilight and it was 11pm on a Saturday night. I had lots of good reading time left. So, I ran myself a bubble bath in my whirlpool tub. And I had poured myself a nice large glass of red wine. And then I did the very Bella-like thing of dropping my book in the tub. So, that meant drying each page with a hair dryer. Now my pages are all wrinkled and old looking.

But, it gives teh book some character.

OMG Michelle! That is horrible.I remember doing that a long time ago, with a book.
Thats why i don't read in the bath anymore, or i put it down somewhere solid that it wont fall.

I feel the same way about them. However they do look a little worn out already. My Eclipse is all yellow around the edges because I put it into my new lime green bag and the color wore off

It was heart wrenching, but I got that bad boy dried and went right back to reading.
