The only thing I can rationalize in my head that would possess them to make Katie's hair look like that is to make it an even BIGGER burn on Katie!

I thought that too. Maybe the hair stylist lost her mind that day. OR she is a huge Schmerble lover and was getting revenge.

hahahaha I'm sure Kristen approves 100% though she may be a little embarrassed to be walking along side Katie with that unfortunate hair-do.
I'm assuming they've changed that scene up a little bit and is now being used as comic relief rather than what it originally was in the book

Aww I don't think Kristen is like that..she probably doesn't mind walking next to her but she's probably just giggling over that fact she owns her with it comes to Robert haha.
