In 2005 we were introduced to a world of vampires, werewolves, and ordinary humans.
A typical story except that this was anything but typical. Author Stephenie Meyer made us
believe in fantasy again. She helped us confront our childish fears and showed us that not
all vampires were as scary as they had been made out to be 15 thousand years ago.
She made us believe in true love, even if it was true love with a vampire or a werewolf.

Since Twilight, Stephenie Meyer went on to write three other books to her beloved romantic saga:
New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. And since then the fandoms grew.

Merchandise became all the rage from audio books, posters, trading cards, jewlery, bedding,
t-shirts, CDs, DVDS, graphic novels, costumes, and so forth. Fans everywhere have been eager
to get a piece of the world Stephenie created. Now whether you're Team Edward or Team Jacob
in the end our love for the saga remains the same. We remain connected both by the things we
buy and the characters we have come to deeply adore.

~*~THE BOOKS~*~

Twilight was first released in 2005. It centered around Bella Swan, a human from Phoenix, Arizona who moved to
Forks, Washington. It was this move that altered her life completely. She caught the eye of Edward Cullen who was
anything but ordinary. And so a love between vampire and human was born.

The following year in 2006 New Moon was released. This book continued Edward and Bella's love but with complications.
After a near miss with an attack from one of Edward's family members Edward took it upon himself to leave Bella thinking
that it was not safe for her. In this time Bella goes through an emotional depression but also reconnects with an old friend
Jacob Black, who has a secret of his own.

In 2007, Eclipse was released. This brought together the Cullens and the Quiluete tribe who, a few members turned into
werewolves so that they could protect Bella from an upcoming army set to destroy Bella.

2008 brought us the final book Breaking Dawn. It was a time of growth, Bella and Edward getting married and taking on
adult responsibilities, including one that no one ever expected- the pregnancy of Bella Swan. Meanwhile Jacob was torn
between his connection to Bella and his connection to his pack and makes a decision that affects everyone. But it seemed
that fate would connect both the Cullens and the Quiluetes in a way that had never been seen before.

Stephenie Meyer first published Twilight in 2005.
Since then we have been graciously given three follow up books.
They have become a worldwide phenomenon that transformed into
films and for us comic book/graphic novel fans out there the novels
became adapted into comic form by Young Kim who has helped to bring
back the saga on a whole new level that will entice readers and fans alike.

Working with Young was always very exciting,
but more than that, it brought me back to my
first Twilight experience. She would send me a
new set of drawings, some portrait of Edward
or Bella would jump off the page and suddenly
I would be feeling all the same things I felt that
first summer while I was writing their story.
The art made it fresh again.

From 2008 to 2012, Stephenie Meyer's world of vampires and
werewolves was adapted to the big screen in five consecutive films.
Starring Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan, Robert Pattinson as Edward
Cullen, and Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black- the franchise would leap
its stars into a fandom that only comes around once in a life time.

The films have grossed over $3 million in revenue.
And though like all things there are the skeptics, there
are those who believe in the films as they believed in
the books that gave them the gateway to this amazing
saga.
