I like both of these because Jacob was integrated into the family. He became part of the family when he left his pack and more so when he imprinted.

Yeah.

I often like to imagine that the Cullen's built a cabin like place for Jake and his pack near the cottage (so Jake could be close to Ness). And that the pack uses a place on Cullen lands like the way the original pack had that old logging area.

I actually found that scene worse in the book than how they portrayed it on screen. Jacob was even more of an ass. He even said, "Like I could let you leave." That felt more stalker-like and threatening. I wonder how it would have sounded on screen.

And I also wish he had said this part, "Bella things are different with us now but you'll always be my best friend, and I'll always love you but I'll love you the right way now. There's finally a balance. We both have people we can't live without."

Granted they switched that line up in the movie to make it shorter because instead it was said similarly when Bella attacked Jake having said, "Nothing ever made sense before, you, me, any of it. And now I know why. this was the reason."

I prefer the book speech better.

And as much as I loved Taylor as Jake, I will always wish they had gotten the height difference between him and Edward right. That bugged me. Jacob is a wolf. He wasn't supposed to grow just size wise but height as well. If I remember correctly he was like 6'5 going on 6'7. Edward was no where near that.

If anything it was Jake who towered over Edward.
