I think so too.

I would like to believe that after everything calmed down they would have. I mean Jake was spending so much time at the Cullen's that he practically became a permanent part of the family.

I love how Jake basically came to view the Cullen's as human and their place as a home. Esme even told him as much in the book.

Well not just after they defeated the Volturi.

Jacob basically became family when he imprinted.

It just wasn't showcased as much because once Irina saw them that and the advancement of the Volturi pretty much shadowed everything so there wasn't really time to be that family they were meant to be.

In the book they got more of a chance because Bella goes on to say that Embry and Quil joined Jacob's pack.

And for Christmas it was also Quil and Embry (plus Leah and Seth) from Jacob's pack, Emily, Sam and Sue who spent Christmas at Charlie's.

So there were a few moments that we got in the book that we didn't in the movie.

Still, no doubt that after defeating the Volturi, they finally got a sense of normalcy and got to really be family.

The only thing I can't seem to figure out is when Quil and Embry joined Jake's pack. Bella doesn't define that moment directly.

It could have either been when Bella was still 'asleep' during her transformation during which Jake had gone to Sam to explain about Renesmee or it could have been some time later after Bella had woken up.
