 Enough For Forever: The Intensity, Inevitability and All That Comes Between of Edward and Bella Cullen. “I’d give up forever to touch you, cause I know you can feel me somehow...” Twilight is where the story prevails. One fateful look sets the story in motion. Lion and Lamb come face-to-face with destiny as the mysterious loner Edward Anthony Cullen meets the awkward school-girl Isabella Marie Swan. They don’t share the easiest of beginnings; she’s completely infatuated by him yet he’s seemingly repulsed by her. He holds a secret, one too dangerous for him to confess, but one too alluring for her to ignore. Days turn to weeks, when finally, there’s a turnaround. He communicates, she responds, he flatters, they bond. Should they be friends? Edward thinks not. Edward saves Bella’s life on more than one occasion, creating further intrigue between the pair. Weeks turn to months, and the revelation comes: Edward’s a vampire, albeit a reluctant one. He’s everything she should turn away from. But their passion proves too strong to resist and their hearts are already in too deep. And so against the odds, they declare their love and begin a joyously real relationship. It’s the one thing they have that’s worth fighting for, and to have love – to experience such overwhelming and life-altering emotions – is to know that you’re truly alive.  “Remember, I will still be here, as long as you hold me in your memory...” As New Moon shows: where there’s happiness, there’s a price to pay. As all great lovers come together, so they must be torn apart. The end of a peaceful summer brings heartbreak all too soon as the night of Bella’s birthday party causes tension amongst the Cullens. Bella injures herself, her blood provokes a violent reaction from Jasper, and everyone must intervene. Reality hits harder than ever: Bella is human, Edward is not. Their worlds in this sense are too far apart. And so they face the cruellest of all break-ups – figuratively speaking, he leaves his heart behind, and takes hers with him. “Love, life, meaning... Over.” Except it’s not over, because they’re still with each other: distance and time cannot break their bond; physical separation does not alter their feelings. Bella retreats into a state of depression for several months, until a strong friendship forms between herself and Jacob Black. It helps, but doesn’t heal her wound. On one occasion, she cliff-dives, just to hear the sound of her true love’s voice. Bella’s attempt to move forward is put on hold when Edward’s sister Alice reappears, to inform Bella that Edward is seeking out the Volturi because he believes Bella to be dead, and wants to die too. Determinedly, she rushes to Italy to save him. They reunite, and Edward swears that he never stopped loving her; she reciprocates. His mere presence soothes her – it is as if the hole in her heart “never existed in the first place.”  "I'd never seen anything more beautiful - even as I ran, gasping and screaming, I could appreciate that. And the last seven months meant nothing. And his words in the forest meant nothing. And it did not matter if he did not want me. I would never want anything but him, no matter how long I lived." "It was very strange, for I knew we were both in mortal danger. Still, in that instant, I felt well. Whole. [...] It was like there had never been any hole in my chest. I was perfect - not healed, but as if there had been no wound in the first place." “Storm clouds may gather and stars may collide, but I’ll love you till the end of time...” Eclipse continues Edward and Bella’s passionate romance as they approach graduation. Time is still an issue, Bella gets more impatient: she wants to be with Edward forever, but he still refuses to change her. In ideal circumstances, he would give anything to become human for her. They compromise: if Bella agrees to marry Edward, then he will make love to her whilst she is still human. Vampires and werewolves unite to protect Bella from danger, but later, when she realizes she loves Jacob beyond friendship, everything seems uncertain. Edward, on the other hand, thinks of nothing but Bella’s happiness. If Jacob is who she really wants, so be it – and she would always have some part of Edward in whichever form she wishes. But that’s not enough – they’re not just friends, they never were. They want and need every part of each other; it’s the only way they can live. This alone, determines Bella’s future. There was never a choice with Edward, never a chance in their love wavering even in the slightest; they are still and evermore shall be the most important people in each other’s lives. Thus, the engagement remains certain, they decide on a date, and the only thing left to fear? ...Telling Charlie the good news.  “I was standing, you were there, two worlds collided; and they can never tear us apart...” The final chapter takes our beloved couple to a whole new place. Breaking Dawn sees the lovers successfully marry amongst family and friends, marking a truly perfect moment in their journey so far; and in pivotal fashion, on the first night of their honeymoon, Edward finally consents and makes love to Bella. It is right and wrong in so many ways. It transcends everything they thought could possibly be experienced. As learned the morning after, their heightened passion (consummated for the first time) bruises Bella. She’s still human, so she’s still physically vulnerable. In spite of Edward’s initial protests, neither can resist temptation, and so the following days bring more sexual encounters involving the tearing of nightgowns and breaking of headboards (!) As a result, Bella gets pregnant. Being a vampire, Edward understandably assumes the worst, and can’t even acknowledge the possibility that a human child is inside her. To confirm his fears, the baby’s growth is rapid, and Bella’s human state is too weak to survive the pain. Upon giving birth, and approaching death, Bella is saved by Edward for the final time as he turns her into a vampire. She’s stronger than any newborn before her, can hunt with conviction, and can make love with her husband as freely as she wishes. Bella is able to use her unique power to act as a shield, as a way to protect her loved ones, against any active threat. Her family make peace with the Volturi, and so Edward and Bella are free to exist in peace with their half-human/half-vampire daughter, Renesmee. Coming full-circle, their closure comes in the form of Bella using her ability to show Edward flashes of her treasured memories, which amazes him beyond belief. Bella simply declares, “Now you know, no one’s ever loved anyone as much as I love you.” *And so to conclude: two perfectly imperfect souls, joined together for all eternity; plus one little girl, the defining creation of their unconditional and irrevocable love. From start to finish, we invested our time into a beautiful story expressing the notion of two innocent beings that don’t necessarily belong in this world, but without any trace of doubt, belong to each other.*  Romeo & Juliet : Edward & Bella "But most significant in this tidal wave of happiness was the surest fact of all: Click here for the rest of the icons. Nikki - I know what you mean, hun and I am completely guilty of doing that
 The books are soo great and when the movies fall short, I am the first one to point it out. I will try not to be so judgemental but sometimes they really let me down especially in regards to writing our couple and Edward the right way __________________
