New Moon Movie Discussion #10: Now that we've all seen it, let's talk.

Hey Everyone

This is the thread where we can discuss the New Moon Movie as well as it's spoilers.

This is the only thread you will be able to discuss any part of the movie in until December 5, 2009 that way countries getting the movie later won't be spoiled. No spoiler tags are necessary for this thread. No icons, graphics, videos or thoughts about the New Moon movie will be allowed until then.

When discussing the movie, please be respectful of everyone else's opinion. We will not all agree, and we are here to discuss our ideas.

There are a few rules everyone needs to follow:
-No double posting, please edit your original post
-No bashing.

To give you a good definition of what bashing is here are some examples:

What Bashing Is:

When Speaking about Made up Characters:

Bashing In General:

This thread will also be a part of the Three Strike System, and if the discussion gets out of hand, we will not hesitate to give this thread a strike, and may ultimately close the thread. So please play nice!

We hope everyone enjoys New Moon and have fun discussing!

-The Twilight Saga Moderating Team

As of this writing, New Moon, the second installment to the Twilight series has been rumored up to be filmed for a December 2009 release, probably stemming from a surprisingly wide anticipation of Twilight. The report is unofficial but I presume it likely.

***

Fang fans won’t have to wait long for more — the studio is already moving forward with the follow-up. Screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg has signed on to pen “New Moon” and possible third installment “Eclipse,” and star Robert Pattinson said the “New Moon” script is ready to go.

***

“The script is already done for the second one,” he told the Seattle Times earlier this week, noting he’s signed on himself for two more movies.

The “Twilight” films stem from the popular four-part series of novels by Stephenie Meyer, which includes “Twilight,” “New Moon,” “Eclipse” and “Breaking Dawn.”

I am glad someone enjoyed it.

Maybe if it has some good extras, Rita? Though, they'll probably be on YT in no time so I guess that would defeat the purpose.

oh i disagree, the movie doesnt make any sense without reading the book, if the adaptaion can't stand on its own then its useless

TFTNT Beth!

I watched NM again last night with a different group of friends (I am so gonna go broke if I have to see it with every group of friends ) and my friend who inititally didn't like the movie at all said that it's better the 2nd time around, so that was interesting.

I really liked certain parts and really disliked other parts, so yeah...but I guess I liked it enough to see it more than once

Rita, you're not the first person I've talked to who said that A lot of people were raving about NM after they saw it, but a few of my friends and I are slightly partial to Twilight too

:hugs: Evie. Do you have next week off work? Or are you like some unlucky souls who're stuck working half the week?

I would not say my feelings about it were that strong. I'm more indifferent, which I was going into it. I was just kind of like, "It is what is," and I'm still kind of that way. I think it was more bad than good for me.

There were some things I liked. I thought casting Graham Greene was great but he wasn't in the film that much (as Harry wasn't in the book that much). I liked the pack (even with all their shirtlessness) and I liked Sam and Emily (they were cute). I liked Charlie. The rest was just kinda meh for me.
