Twilight Saga - New Board Rules - Please Read and Respond (First post updated 8/4)

We just wanted to let you know that the rules have been edited a bit in accordance with FF's general rules. The amendments are in teal.

Hey all!

Lately we have noticed some reoccurring problems we have had on the board and we wanted to take this time to reiterate some of the rules and add new ones!

New threads- Please check the board guide before starting a new thread. Duplicate threads will be closed.

Off Topic- We are concerned with the posting style of many of the threads on here. We allow discussions to stray off topic in threads to an extent, but when it overcasts the purpose of the thread, that is not allowed. We have an Off Topic thread here on the Forum, and please use that thread for any off Topic discussion. We want each thread to focus on the purpose of it!

Spoilers- We know New Moon is just AROUND the corner and we are going to get lots and lots of new goodies

However, we must keep in mind the Spoiler Policy on FanForum.

• Pictures from promos that have already aired on television, been shown at the movie theatre, or are from general promotional material at official websites or published in magazines are not considered to be spoilers.
• Pictures of clips, episode stills and filming pictures of scenes from an upcoming episode or movie that are available on the Internet and have not been aired on television or have not been shown at the movie theatre before the movie is released are considered to be spoilerish, and they should only be posted in designated threads for the upcoming episode or movie.

Avatars

Basically, you may NOT post pictures of any spoil-ish pictures anywhere except the Forks NewsStand Thread or the NM Spoiler Thread UNLESS these images have been released on TV OR the magazine/newspaper has finally been RELEASED. You may not use these pictures for icons either! We want to respect the fellow posters who do not want to be spoiled.

Bashing- This is by far the most difficult topic for us. New Moon is approaching us and we know that everyone is going to feel differently about the film, etc. However, BASHING IS NOT ALLOWED. We are going to keep a firm eye on each thread to make sure no one is breaking the positive atmosphere we strive for here! We have developed a system for bashing:
-1st Thread Offense: Warning in thread and specific posters warned through PM
-2nd Thread Offense: Second warning posted in thread and specific posters warned through PM
-3rd Thread Offense: Offending posters will be reported to the Moderator Management Team.

We understand that no one sees eye to eye. If you have any questions about what is included in the definition of bashing please feel free to contact us!

Kate I was talking about this to Sheils with the bashing. What if theres people who are on both sides, and they get bashed just because they didn't know what to do with themselves.
