Which other couples do E/B remind you of? I know we started discussing this, but I can think of quite a few. I think it's an interesting topic.

Fading Letters

Buffy/Angel mostly.
Fantaghiró/Romualdo from Fantaghiró (I doubt that anyone knows that fairytale... it's Italian and I just love it).
Jack/Irina from Alias (they're so different from B/E but the fact that Jack sort of takes Irina back even after she betrayed him kinda resembles B/E... just a little bit).
They also remind me a bit of Anne/Gilbert from Anne of Green Gables.

That would be my list.

One couple that EB kept reminding me of while I was reading the books was Dexter/Rita from Showtime's Dexter.

The only thing that really connects the two are the "monster" sides of Dexter and Edward and the way that Rita and Bella respond to it.

Basically, every time Edward would tell Bella that he's dangerous, and the fact that he kept dwelling on all the bad sides of being a vampire reminded me so much of Dexter focusing on his urge to kill. Like Edward, Dexter focuses too much on the monster side of his personality, while Rita only can see the good man inside. I've noticed that Bella does this a lot too, especially with how sure she is that Edward would never hurt her because he loves her so much.

Also, Dexter kills murderers as sort of a justification to kill people like Edward used to do.

However, the major difference between the two couples is Bella knows about Edward's "dark side" while Rita has no freakin' clue.

But yeah, really, that's it.

Which couple reminds me of EB? I would have to say they are very Angel and Buffy. They have that deep connection that EB has, the only difference is Bella doesn't have to worry about getting Edward too happy, he can get as happy as he wants and he wont lose his soul.

Ooo, Phoebe and Cole is a good couple to compare with E/B. But I like to keep these two separate from other couples to keep them special.
