Do you feel like Leah was giving the short end of the stick in the books?
I feel like SM wants us to dislike Leah. What do you think? I think Leah has a great heart and soul - but needs someone to remind her of that fact.... __________________

i think SM likes the character but that leahs not the kind of characer that can be loved by all.

She talks about Leah in one of her post BD interviews...I think it was the EW one, where an editor was telling her that Leah should be nicer, and SM was just explaining that Leah had been through a lot. I can't remember exactly what she said..I'll have to go back and find it.

I like Leah and understand that she has been through alot - but I feel like she was not given the attention or whatever you want to call it in the books.
It was kinda like SM needed someone dark/mad and she made that Leah. I think Leah's character should be explored and SM write a book about her and show that she really is a good person. It would be nice for her to find love too! __________________

I like Leah. I don't think all girls have to be nice. I just think that SM focused on her feeling hurt/upset and that looked like she was bad, but really she is not.

I don't understand what your trying to say
 because shes acting out and trying to piss the pack off her character is bad? Sorry I'm a bit confused because obviously if readers were able to see past her actions to the root and cause of them (ie her pain) then she can't really be a bad character. |

Sorry, what I was trying to say is that I think Leah is a good person who is going through a struggle. She lost her love (Sam) and now she was phased into a wolf (when only guys were suppose to) and she is upset all the time.
It seems like she is dark person always trying to upset the pack and even yelling at Bella later in BD. She does these things because she cares too much - yet it looks like to others that she does not care. Do you understand know what I was trying to say? I think Leah is good, but that she seems bad in the books and that is not fair. ETA: Also no one understands what she is going through - because she is the first of her kind. How upsetting is that? She must feel like she has no one to turn to. Even Edward thinks she is trying to hurt the pact by thinking mean things - but when you are consumed with something its all you can think about. I don't think she is trying to hurt the pact. __________________
