Aww. Told ya they were in love.

Hey everybody, today was awesome and so much better than yesterday! Once again I was up at 5 AM and on set by 6 AM. Wouldn't have been a big deal had I gotten more than ONE HOUR OF SLEEP last night. That's a whole other story, though. Anyway, it was basically the same check-in procedures and whatnot as yesterday. After all of that I went to set. Most of the day was spent wrapping the biology class scenes, and the focus of the segments I did was on Bella's entrances on the different days that Edward is or isn't in school. One of the scenes is not in the book - it is a lab with a tape worm dissection. It is in the sides, but I can't remember what else goes on and Madison HS doesn't have Wifi. We shot her entrances into about 3 or 4 different scenes. I was only a few feet away from Kristen during each one, and in all of them you will see me pass directly behind her, almost hitting her and Mike in one of them.

This was also the first time that I saw Rob really up close when he came on to set. In pictures he looks pale and pretty; in real life he looks dead, beautiful, and a little dangerous. Also, I think most of you will be delighted by this - Kristen wears brown contacts! They are a chocolate brown and exactly as described in the book. I felt relieved to know that they were taking into account even the smallest details. Her wardrobe is also very Bella - casual, lots of t-shirts, worn down sneakers and chucks, simple blouses, and raincoats. A little more put-together than book Bella, though. They also have her hair styled a bit more curly/wavy rather than just being completely straight. Also, though I don't sense any real-life romance or flirtation between the Rob and Kristen, they do seem to be good friends and talked a lot between takes and at lunch. One time they had gone off to get coffee during a scene change, and when they returned they were laughing together...very cute!

Lunch time today was a thrill all by itself! I came in and saw Kristen, her double Katie, and the Forks kids at a table, and the closest vacant table in the room was the one right behind theirs. I went to get food and saw Rob who was talking to a crew member and laughing. He then went to get food and sat down at the table with Kristen. No one was sitting across from him at the table, so when I sat down in my seat, we were directly across from each other. Soon more extras joined me, but none of them blocked my view, and I even saw him look my way a few times(probably because I was RIGHT in his line of view...I had to fight not to look at him out of normalcy). I played it cool and didn't look at him, which is how I have been with all of the actors except for Kristen because she has been my cue for all of my crosses. That is not the best part, though. We both stood up at the same time to throw our plates away, and then he walked behind me all the way to the drinks. I got to the drinks first and saw him still coming that way, so I just went ahead to get my lemonade and told myself I would let him go first if I needed to. He ended up going for the grapefruit juice right next to the lemonade, and for about 5 seconds we were only inches from each other. I didn't look at him to avoid looking like an idiot, but it was pretty awesome haha. I've also had a lot of opportunities to run into Kristen and speak to her, but I've been too afraid of getting into trouble because of that whole "don't talk to them unless they talk to you" rule. I also don't want to disrupt her on set.

Ok, so after lunch we waited for a few hours in the auditorium until we were all brought out to the main hall in Madison. Tiko, the 2nd assistant director, explained to us about a scene we were about to film in the hall. Before I continue on about that - I saw Rosalie and Alice on set today! They were talking to Catherine(in full makeup and costume) and I think discussing some wardrobe matters. Nikki is GORGEOUS, and they have really stepped up her wardrobe. Same goes for Alice - so pretty and the wardrobe has a more vintage, high fashion feel than in the promo pictures.

Anyway, back to the scene. Edward and Bella would be walking down the hall and doing dialogue and we would all be in the hall going to our next classes. Pretty much everyone did a cross, and me and my partner did a huge cross behind Bella and Edward and then walked right next to/past them for the rest of the way down the hall until they would stop at Bella's locker to continue the scene. Then I was circulated back to walk down the hall the other way, and Edward ended up being right behind/next to/in front of me each time. You guys, you are not going to believe your eyes when you see this scene on the big screen. I have never seen such an intense and real moment in my entire life. Robert and Kristen ARE Edward and Bella. I finally saw this much-talked about chemistry, and the casting directors were not lying! There's just a spark there, and it's probably going to be one of the greatest things about the movie. The scene begins after Bella and Edward have finished first place in the biology lab dealing with the onion root tips, and they have won the golden onion(BTW there really is a golden spray-painted onion in the movie). Bella is walking down the hall when Edward catches up to her and gives her the golden onion(it's not as stupid as it sounds). I couldn't hear much of the beginning dialogue, but he was asking her questions about Phil and Renee and why she came to Forks. Here is the part that I did catch:
Edward: So you're unhappy?
Bella: No.
E: I'm sorry, I'm just trying to figure you out. You're very hard to read.
B: Did you get contacts?
E: No.
B: Your eyes - they were black the last time I saw you and now they're a golden brown.
E: It must be the sun or something(I am not completely sure that is the line).

Edward says something else and then storms away from Bella with his fists clenched and with one of the most pained expressions I have ever seen. Bella looks completely mystified and a bit hurt. It sounds so simple, but you can see in both of their eyes and faces what is going on. Kristen used more accusation than curiosity in the scene - Bella knows something is going on and she's not going to take it!

The final scene we shot was with Kristen's double, Katie, with the camera shooting the back of her head and toward the extras. This was supposed to be a shot of Bella's first day at FHS where she is trying to find her classes. Me and my partner are front stage center - you will definitely see us - we walk forward towards Katie and the camera, and then I walk into/shove her side and give her a "wtf are you doing?" look.

A few extra things I noticed:
-Kristen and Rob are amazing at getting into character. One second they would be laughing and smiling and the next they would be so intense and serious...lots of tension! It's very impressive how they can switch on and off like that.
-Catherine Hardwicke is awesome! A little crazy maybe, but very gifted at what she does.
-Rob's American accent is AMAZING! His voice is so smooth and flawless. The way he speaks alone will have girls swooning!

By the way, I would like to clear up a little rumor that's been going on about Kristen and filming today: she was not hit in the face and was not on break for 3 hours. She filmed all day non-stop except for standard breaks and changes. Allow me to remind you that the set is now closed and no one is allowed on school grounds except for cast, crew, and extras. Also, I will not, under any circumstances, disclose the name of the cast's hotel. I may be young, but I'm certainly not stupid Smiley

EDIT: I forgot to mention that filming of the cafeteria scenes begins tomorrow morning! I am beyond excited and will be giving you all the scoop tomorrow night!
