'Twilight' Star Rachelle Lefevre Joins 'A Gifted Man' Cast Published: July 08, 2011 @ 5:25 pm Rachelle Lefevre will be spending a lot of time at the doctor's office this fall. The former "Twilight" star -- who was replaced in the role of Victoria in the vampire franchise by Bryce Dallas Howard -- has landed a role in the upcoming CBS drama "A Gifted Man," scheduled to premiere this fall. Lefevre will play Kate, a doctor at a family clinic, the actress' publicist confirms to TheWrap. The series stars "Watchmen" actor Patrick Wilson as Michael Holt, an ultra-competitive surgeon whose life is sent on a new path when his deceased wife (Jennifer Ehle) begins dispensing advice to him from beyond the grave. Interestingly, Lefevre played a medic in her last acting stint, as Dr. Ryan Clark on the ABC drama "Off the Map," which was canceled in April.

Congrats to Rachelle! I hope this series does better (viewer wise) than "Off the Map" because Rachelle deserves some success.

I saw a tv spot for A Gifted Man yesterday...it's very Private Practice meets The Ghost Whisperer. Very intriguing.

I keep seeing tv spots for that movie with Emma Stone, The Help. Bryce looks SO GOOD in it...I sorta wanna see it, but everyone keeps telling me to read the book first.

Most of the time I like reading the book before I watch the movie version so I know more of the backstory, but at the same time, if you watch the movie first then you don't have any expectations so you might enjoy the movie more

But I really want to see The Help too. My friend went to an early screening of it and she really enjoyed it.

Yeah, whenever I've read the book first I generally end up resenting the movie for not measuring up
