With all these rumors about Breaking Dawn, we felt it was a good idea to start this thread so people can share their ideas of whether or not it should be made and how many films......

I think the execs have already decided how many movies and all. I know Melissa is writing it as we speak. They just wanna tease us with the final announcement which I bet my money will come right after Eclipse.

It's an interesting choice, I guess.

What I find irritating is how they puff the guy up by throwing around his Oscar and nominations especially since none of the films listed are anything like BD. I know they are trying to showcase his attention to nuance and his ability to bring difficult material to life on screen but...that is all going to be lost on a film like this. Also, those films star a caliber of acting talent and have a degree writing that this saga lacks.

I agree, this seems pointless to me, especially since he's mostly critically-acclaimed for directing musicals. The genres couldn't be more 180 from each other.

On another note, I'm glad we have confirmation on something.

...okay, why now? I mean, as far as I know she hasn't been a producer on any of these films thus far (and if she has been, I stand corrected). So why all of a sudden is she jumping on that band wagon?

Yeah this is all strange.

I dont really know of the director and like Beth said...his previous films were NOTHING like BD.

And for SM to be a producer now...I justdont know.
