*** Release Date has been set for August 2nd 2008***

So anyone have any thoughts or predictions on the next book?

Some things SM has posted in her blogs about the book.

4) In regards to the question, "Is Breaking Dawn the last book in the Twilight Saga?" The answer is, "I don't know." It's the last one for a while, at least. Of course there will be Midnight Sun, but that's covering old material. I'm not sure if I will go forward with the Twilight characters--I'm a little burned out right now. Ask me again in two years.

5) "When are you going to put the first chapter of Breaking Dawn on your website?" I have no idea when or if I will get permission to post that. It may be in the special edition of Eclipse that will come out in June or July. It may never appear until BD is on the shelves.

Oh, I thought of another one!

6) "What does the cover of BD look like?" I don't know (are you sensing a theme here?). We have not decided on a cover yet--in fact, we are in a very early stage of the process. If we get a cover developed in time, it will probably be released with the Eclipse special edition the way the Eclipse cover was put out with the New Moon special edition. I've had a few people ask if ]images they've seen are the BD cover, and I can tell you absolutely that they are NOT.

Stephenie said seveeral times that BD will be loosely based on Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream

She also gave some hints on how Bella's wedding dress looks like and someone (with her help) made this site: belladress

Out of all the books I'm most concerned over this. I know that SM said that she'll tie up B/E's story with a big bow, but ... at what cost? ACK!

Well... Stephenie likes happy ending so I really think the book will end with E/B married and vampire!Bella.

^I think that's the way it's gonna go as well... she said it already that Eb are the end game and that was always the original plan, so no worries in that front, I think.

I try to not think about how Edward and Bella will end or I'll go crazy.

But I'm really curious about all the mythical creatures conflicts.

- In Eclipse, the werewolves saved the Cullens against the newborn and Carlisle saved Jacob. What happens to their treaty now since Bella is so decided to become a vampire?

- The Denalis (for Irina) still hold a grudge against the pack. Will they do something against the Quileutes in BD? Which side the Cullens will take, since they owe a lot to the pack and also are long time friends with the Denalis?

- Will the Volturi show up sometime in BD? Will they know about the Cullen's alliance with the werewolves? What will they do about that?

Oh, and I'm pro-bite: I want Bella to become a vampire and to be more gifted than Jane and Alec together. And I also want Emmett and Jasper to fight with Felix and Demetri just because it would be sexy.

I wouldn't like to see Bella becoming a vampire, but it has nothing ot do with her or Edward. I'm probably alone in this, but I think it would be like killing the heroine, you know? (and not just in the sense that she wouldn't have a soul)

You are not alone, Adara.

And I Know and respect a lot your opinion. I just see different. I think Stephenie subverts the whole idea of which creatures can have a "soul" in the Twilight universe. Most humans believe we have a soul, that there is a God who will reward our choices somewhat, and that is what makes us choose good over evil.

But then there is a Carlisle who also believes that good choices can be a salvation for vampires. And (although, like humans, they make mistakes) his family has been choosing good, so I can't look at them as souless damaged creatures. That's why I don't see a problem with Bella as one of them.

I don't think Bella will lose her soul. In my opinion the fact that vampires do they free will tells me that they do have a soul, and I don't it's only the Cullens and the Denali clan. In my opinion just because someone doesn't make the right choices doesn't mean they don't have a soul.

Well back to BD theories. I'm curious as to who will play the role of Puck. If it's loosely based of A Midsummer's Night Dream then are Edward and Bella going to temporarily end up with people they aren't supposed, just to have true love conquer in the end and for them to come back to each other?

Oh man, this is a topic that gets discussed at my house all the time.

My brain can only wrap up two ways for this to end. The first way is that Edward finds a way to become human again, and does so. This, though it sounds improbable, has been done in other vampire novels, and I think it could happen here. It resolves several issues - Bella doesn't become a vampire, so this curtails any possibility of a war over the broken truce, and she doesn't have to magically disappear and never see her family again.

The second way is probably more likely: Sam Uley dies, Jacob becomes head of the pack. Captain Clutzy gets injured in some serious accident, and has to become vampire to live. Jacob allows this without starting a war because he's in love with Bella. I also think someone else has to die, maybe Bella's father.

I'm not saying I want either of these things to happen; this is just how (from a writer and a reader's standpoint) I think the story may be resolved.

Gosh I really hope SM doesn't do that! It would totally kill the story! Well, for me, anyway...

I don't know what to expect from BD. Actually, I don't even want to think much about it, so I won't be disappointed. I'll just wait and see.

Over another forum people was wondering who would be Puck: Aro, Taha Aki or someone from the Denali clan.

Oh yeah... putting it like that, yeah, it's not like they're souless. That's for sure. But it's just... I don't really know how to explain. I think if it was in portuguese I'd be better at it

It's really the factor of change. How much do you have to change to be with the one you love? And it's not quite that yet. I give. Forget it

Everyone I talk to is saying that they expect someone to die as well. I don't knwo how I'd feel if someone from the pack died and none of the vampires died. I do know that if Sam dies I'll be devastated. There's gotta be another way to make Jake alpha without killing Sam.
