The red and white was a great tribute to the book covers
It gave us another epic soundtrack and score
They let us really hear nature on an intimate level
Bella put Jake in a head-lock and took him outside
Jacob's imprinting wasn't creepy the way people often think
If we were characters we'd stand by the Cullens too
Bella makes a great mom and a great vampire
Edward thanked Carlisle for his extraordinary life
Charlie is in the 'need to know'

Bella's first hunt was just as amazing as it was in the book

my review/thoughts:

ok, first of all, i've always had a love/hate relationship with bella. i literally never got what was so special about her... and since i never read the books, you can imagine my surprise that bella could transfer her power to other people. teehe! so, yea, she's a little special. i still don't get why edward, the ever so rational one, let her bitch at jacob. hello, he saved your daughter and bella almost died. for real. but you'll just have a great laugh at jacob's expense? even me, JACOB!HATER was all. no. in fact, i walked away from this film probably rooting harder for jacob than both edward and bella. erm? minus alice's weird vision at the end there. cause: weird foursome! i guess though, i wasn't even that high on my eb love to begin with... for obvious reasons, but i was happy they didn't get a chunk of the film. what's funny is that the first three films failed me as a shipper, bd1 delivered, but here, i hardly cared. however, that love scene was hawt and i will gif it to death when the dvds come out. and them fighting together was awesome! yea, it's a toss up between good and bad for me.

i'm a little upset charlie, once again, got swept to the side. like, i love billy, so him being underutilized every film. PSHT! i was glad jacob showed him his real self though. HILARIOUS scene! but bella was so cold to charlie. i just really wanted one more good family scene between them. oh, well. although, edward thanking carlisle somewhat made up for the lack of bella/charlie. hee! i just really dig the two dads of the series.

and, yea, so i may or may not have read beforehand that the battle was phony. whoops! i really didn't even decide to see bd2 until last night, so i figured, what will it hurt? THE BATTLE WAS SO EMO THOUGH! I WASN'T EXPECTING THE MOVIE TO BE SO GOOD! so when the theater saw it and was all gasping, i was all, oh CRAP, i know it's fake! i still weeped a tad, i must admit. but it was still a great scene. tbqh, i became tired of the cullens protecting bella probably during new moon, so i wasn't expecting much here, but even edward all: (perhaps i shouldn't have fallen in love with a human, after all) salvaged those huge arcs for me.

anyway, i, oddly, didn't even notice the high school peers absent from this film until now! they really did a great job filling in the missing greatness from the other four films. even alice and jasper getting nearly nothing didn't seem that big. not until i actually thought about it. sigh. i was just glad rosalie stopped holding renesmee after the 30 minute mark. like, dude, you HATED bella, the idea of bella and edward, etc, forever... now, it's, baby, baby, give me the baby!? um...


lastly, some randomness...
+i really dug the emmett stuff. he was always a bright spot/comedic relief and here was no exception.
+loved seeing jane die. like a lot.
+didn't think i'd like any of the other vampires/witnesses, but they were anything but boring. loved kate and her power.
+didn't really care about renesmee at all, honestly.
+loved bella figuring out alice's note to her! sigh! I WISH THEY GOT MORE SCENES!!!
+the opening without a bella quote was weird! not that the credits weren't great, but i really wanted my overhead shot. boo!
+can't really remember anything else, but i'm def going to see it again. it's my favorite of the series. it really is!

Yeah. They were serious when they said that this movie was really a tribute to the fans. I'll always be forever grateful for that.

There was only one thing that bothered me and it didn't have anything to do with the movie directly- while waiting in line I overheard people dissing Kristen Stewart. I just wanted to slap them or something and tell them to STFU.

What really came to my mind was the sequence in the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers movie when Ivan Ooze uses some ooze and tosses it into Rita's face to shut her up. I so wanted to do that to the people dissin' my girl.
