The discussion thread wasn't started so I figured I'd start it because I needed to talk about the the last episode of Instant Star ever.

The finale was total crap. I can't believe that we were supposed to be happy with the way things ended. As a Tommy/Jude fan from episode one, this is not how things should have ended between them. We got no closure or anything. Just Jude standing in front of a screaming fans, telling Tommy she had to go to London alone. No final conversation between them. Nothing. I'm not a happy camper at the moment.

The rockstar comment was the worst ever! I was already upset with how to episode was going, and the last line made it so much worse.

I had seen this episode two days ago, so I already knew I was not going to be happy. I was still holding out hope that I dreamt the ending and it would end differently

Horrible ending! So after Seasons of building up this chemistry between these two characters it's just like oh now she wants to discover things on her own in a foreign country with no one by her side? COME ON NOW! This is ridiculous. I don't know if they thought this was going to be a series or season finale but either way they left things off...not just w/ Tommy\Jude but can you say gag me with a spoon with the whole Darius and Sadie?

at least Karma and Spied ended up together but now they're homeless and being sued. Hmm.

im just pretending that didnt happen and they are living in london as a power couple who rock out all the time and make awesome music, and have hot sex every night

The only couple not in complete problems is Jamie and Zepplin and I'm not that attached to them. & even with that I'm sure she knew what Jamie was talking to Tommy about. That could have annoyed her. Not as much as this whole episode annoyed ME but still.

Yeah, they'd been done for months when the show was cancelled.

And I am furious! 4 years they've spent building the star crossed lovers that are Jude and Tommy...and this is what they do? God, I'm furious...they have to do a movie or something to make this right.

Oh, they didn't know. Well, it makes a bit more sense now. I mean it didn't really seem like a series finale to me because when people usually know they're going to get canceled they wrap things up in a bow or at least better than this. BRING INSTANT STAR BACK AND FIX IT! =(

after reading spoilers about how horrible this episode was i was afraid that i would hate it but,for the most part, i actually liked it (def in the minority here lol)

i would have LOVED for a jommy happy ending but i knew where jude was coming from. jude wasn't ready for marriage. if you look what has happened in the past couple episodes with jude and tommy they werent stable. i think jude just needs to grow. she's still 18 and she has to learn to be independent and have her own adventures, find herself. tommy already had that opportunity. jude needs to be able to do so too. although i would have liked a scene in which tommy and jude talked about the whole issue (i think it was implied that they spoke before she left), there just wasnt enough time. i think once jude came back from london, had her adventures, learned to live on her own, make music on her own, then her and tommy would be ready for life as an engaged couple. unfortunately we wont get to see that :/

another thing i didnt like was the whole kwest/sadie/darius thing.

oh and i doubt that they will do a movie or a 'proper goodbye'. alexz is preoccupied with her solo album and i dont think she'd come back to reprise her role as jude. plus all the other actors, even the producers, have other projects they are focusing on.
