{Episode Discussion} 1x03 - The Reptile Room: Part One {#1}
 The Baudelaires are sent to live with their herpetologist uncle Monty Montgomery, who has recently come across a reptile he calls the "Incredibly Deadly Viper". While attempting to learn more about Montgomery, Klaus discovers that the hedge maze in Montgomery's garden is the exact same shape as the tattoo on Olaf's ankle. Olaf poses as Montgomery's new assistant Stefano and attempts to kidnap the Baudelaires, but Montgomery inadvertently thwarts the scheme after receiving an encrypted message instructing him to take the Baudelaires to Peru. Believing "Stefano" to be a spy sent to steal his research, Montgomery fires him.  The quote alone 'This is a brand new episode in your lives' I just love the episode pun in it  sunny and the snake! haha count olaf in disguise! funny how the kids immediately recognise him!   all the explanations of words It's funny how the movie was a thing with a hidden message. I am truly curious when Klaus is going to figure out that the scope he has is meaningful Best quote of the episode   __________________

I love Uncle Monty too. That disguise Count Olaf had was actually quite remarkable, I like it.
Sunny with that snake was an  moment for me but whew. Good to know that the snake was harmless. The ending of this episode though  Book spoiler:

Nope, the whole spyglass thing, that's brand new. We don't even hear anything about the organization until book 5 and we don't even know that this is what it is yet at the time...

I like how they do things slightly different from the books then
I am interested in knowing more about this spyglass... It's very interesting! Kind of funny how Olaf knew what that thing was for since he was standing right in front of Monty to make sure he didn't get the message. __________________
