Remington Steele (1982-1987): The name's Steele. Remington Steele.
Hey guys! Welcome to the Remington Steele Appreciation Thread! I've recently found some time to start watching my Remington Steele DVDS and so far, I'm really liking it. I love Remington/Laura. Are there any other fans? |

I watched about half of the first reason of Remington Steel and I loved it. I remember my mom telling me that she "Hated" Priece Brosnan in this role, simply because he was just too damn swuave and good looking for his own good. In other words, she liked him but she couldn't bring herself to watch the show... I think (shrugs).
Anyways, I meant to continue watching the series on Veoh.com, but when I returned they were already showing the Second Season of the show! This is what I get for slacking off for a long period of time. Anyhow, I enjoy the show very much. I honestly see why everyone wanted Brosnan to play James Bond during his run on this show. And he was seriously cute-handsome! __________________

I was a huge fan of the show back when it originally aired... And I remember being obsessed with her hair cuz mine looked similar but never quite as perfect like hers
One of the few 80's shows that are still worth watching without making you cringe! I hope to own the dvds someday, god knows when I have so many old favorite shows I'm behind on my collecting... |

I wasn't born yet when it first aired but a few years ago I caught a rerun on TV and I think it was instant love ^^
The show really has everything I love... the elements of crime, then there's the humor and of course romance <3 Remington/Laura is imo the perfect pairing and always teasing the viewer with kisses but never giving them more is a pretty good strategy if you ask me lol I own the whole show on DVD and watching it always makes me smile, no matter what... It'll always have a special place in my hearts /cheese |

I'm a bit jealous of you owning the DVDs!
They certainly don't make shows like this anymore... The perfect mix of crime/romance/comedy with good on-screen chemistry between the actors and interesting cases. To me Brosnan will always be Remington Steele first and foremost, not Bond, although he was a heck of a lot better as Bond than Craig is! |

lol and I'm living in Europe so finding them was not an easy task... I decoded my region 2 dvd player especially for those DVDs xD I think I heard they're releasing it on region 2 now, though...
You should get the DVDs, they're so worth it ^^ Amazon.com: Remington Steele - Seasons 1-5: Movies & TV that's not even a bad price for 4 1/2 seasons... The only new show that had all those elements is Pushing Daisies imo, just that it has the Fantasy/Mystery bit as well... but they do solve cases, have romance & are funny Unfortunately it got canceled -.-" But yeah, a friend & I were just talking about how the world needed shows like RS again ^^ |

I've never seen Pushing Daisies! Maybe I should give it a try?
Thank you for the link, I live in Europe too but if the region 2 release takes long I might order them from the US. I prefer Amazon UK though, they're so quick and actually cheaper than buying dvd boxed sets here in my country! |

You should xD like everyone else who hasn't seen it ^^
Ugh yeah, so far there's only season 1 out in region 2, isn't it? They're taking forever >.< lol well, I don't have a credit card, but usually amazon.de sells UK imports. |

I'm surprised not many people are posting on this thread but then again I just started watching the series last year.
I used to see a few eps when I was 9, never knew what the show was, only knew I liked it. |

You know I was just looking at the title, and I remember him actually saying that and thinking...this guy is going to be James Bond soon and doesn't even know it. __________________
