The Wild Life (1984) - "It's Casual"
 Released in 1984, "The Wild Life" was writer Cameron Crowe's follow up to "Fast Times At Ridgemont High". The film followed the lives of three teenage high schoolers and their assorted friends, etc. More info here The Wild Life (film) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The movie starred a number of familiar 80s faces - Eric Stoltz, Chris Penn, Lea Thompson, Rick Moranis, Ilan-Mitchell Smith ("Weird Science"), Hart Bochner ("Supergirl"), and Randy Quaid.  Trailer: It's been said that Crowe based Stoltz' character, Bill, on the same real life guy he based Judge Reinhold's character in 'Fast Times'.  The movie is now available MOD from Amazon. Eddie Van Halen performed the music only parts of the soundtrack.  __________________

It is. Underrated IMO. It still pops up on TV. I just wish a DVD would finally get going. I hate these music rights stuff!

Yay! The movie is finally available by Amazon MOD as part of their "Universal Vault Series". I ordered mine today!

I got mine in the mail and immediately watched it!
It's an incredible time capsule of the 80s. If anything else, that's the draw of the movie. It has funny moments, but it's more of a dramady, like 'Fast Times', but nowhere near as funny. It's an entertaining movie with a cast full of fun and familiar faces. It's real 80s. I recommend it! __________________

I don't know why it never got a proper release. I know Cameron Crowe wasn't thrilled with it for some reason. Eddie Van Halen did the music and I hear he wasn't pleased with his work. They had no reason to.

I'm glad I have it. Chris Penn steals the show. Rick Moranis' hair changes and gets higher in every scene he's in, which isn't many.
