Vice Versa Thread #1

Vice Versa Thread

Two heads may not be better than one when workaholic department-store executive Marshall (Judge Reinhold) and his son Charlie (Fred Savage) innocently touch an ancient skull -- and soon discover their bodies have switched. Now, dad must deal with playground bullies, while Charlie plays in toy stores without fear of getting kicked out. But when Charlie's boisterous antics threaten Marshall's job, father and son must find a way to reverse the hex.

I liked this movie, but it did not compare to Big. Judge Reinhold was not great at playing the young child. Fred kind of came off as bratty at times.

It's been so long since I have seen this, I can't really comment on how they were in their roles. In fact, I really don't remember any of it. Lol. But the 80's were big on the body switching scenario. Big, Vice Versa, Like Father, Like Son. There was another one I remember. I think it was a TV movie, but it was called "Summer Switch". Anyone know that one?.

It sounds familiar.

Funny how they were worried about Big, but it ended up being one of the best of the body switching movies.

I would say Big was the best of the bunch.

Yeah, I think most would agree.

I liked Fred on Wonder Years, but he was annoying in this movie. I'm not fond of kids trying to act like grown-ups.

I may not know the one you're talking about, but you made me think of another where an insensitive male is thrown back into the fold of the living as a hot blond. And there's tons more, I just know it.

I loved "Vice-Versa", though it's also been a long time since I've seen it. Throw in "The Princess Bride" and "Little Monsters" and it feels like Fred was everywhere.

He was great on The Wonder Years. Didn't really translate into big box office stardom, even though he had a few film in the 80s.

Yeah, a lot of the body-switching movies just sucked.
